It seems that there is some activity in progress relating to the first
purpose of the WARC as stated in the bylaws, "to promote the Amateur
Radio Service in the community as a source of trained communications
volunteers and communication equipment that can be utilized during civil
and natural emergencies."
Thanks to those who have been investigating the Homeland Security and
local emergency management requirements for volunteers and helping
interested hams get their Incident Management System credentials.
That's an important--and very fundamental--step! _Please keep promoting
the additional opportunities the club is providing for local hams to
continue down this path.
_Does the club have a measurable objective for qualified, certified
volunteers????
_..._
Time now to turn our attention to the second stated purpose of the club:
"The purpose of this club, hereafter referred to as the WARC, is: ...
2. to construct and maintain communications facilities for the use of
the entire Amateur Radio community during routine and emergency situations."
What is the club doing in this regard? What can we do better???
Sincerely & 73,
Len KC0RSX
