Greetings,

It looks like there is new life in Field Day! Super!

I am willing to help out on the breakfast. I will be out of town the 4 days
prior to Saturday, and may not be back till Saturday afternoon, but should
be available by Sunday morning.

Walt

Hello All,

In the past, Lance and I have been active in FD and are willing to
participate in whatever capacity is needed. I am willing to head up
the breakfast, but would like a partner to shop and cook it.

There are lots of new resources out there to reach kids of all ages
in the area, including publications and websites. When we do this
let's not forget to also promote the Shakespeare Festival event and
to point parents to our website. 4H and scouting groups should be
notified now if we want to see them at our FD site. 4H has a
publication and the scout groups have people to notify the individual
troops/packs, but to get through the proper channels we may have
missed the window or their deadlines are coming up soon. Do we have
activities planned for the kids to earn a patch or help complete
requirements? I know the ARRL website can be helpful and Len has
done some work in this area. We cannot ask them to come without
being prepared and this is more than a one person endeavor...we need
to look good when we do this.

I can be of assistance for some of the youth outreach, but I know my
limits and need a partner or three to help. Anyone willing to make
some phone calls, search for local sites and figure out what we can
offer Winona's youth? Should we have a meeting and delegate tasks to
get this started fast?

Any thoughts?

Darlene Tag.
