I was thinking that PSKMail ( http://pskmail.wikispaces.com/ ) would 
work well for passing some traffic in an ARES/RACES situation.  Most 
everyone has a laptop, and said laptop could boot into a live Linux 
distro similar to Harv's Hamshack Hack ( 
http://hamshack-hack.sourceforge.net/ ).  Linux, unlike Windoze is well 
suited to some older laptops.  The ARES/RACES group could keep whatever 
number of these live distros ready to go for a mininal investment.  It 
would take for instance, 7 hams with laptops and 7 different setups, and 
get them all on the same page and interacting seamlessly in a short 
amount of time.

I ramble.  I'd like some input on this idea.
