Hi Matt:

Yes, you can count a VHF station as one of the two required transmitters
in order to have the minimum number of 2 to have the GOTA station. The
rules do not say only HF stations count towards the transmitter total.
Many groups do include one or more VHF/UHF/SHF stations in their
transmitter count.

Good luck with Field Day 2007.

Subject: FD 2007 question

Good afternoon - our club here in Winona, Mn 'Winona ARC Inc' has been
discussing Field Day and a question has come up with respect to the "A"
class for clubs. Historically I set up a VHF station and the club does
2 HF stations and even a GOTA station. It seems as though we may not
have enough operators for 2A this year. So the question is can we count
a VHF station as one transmitter have an HF station as a second (both
using our call W0NE) and also have a GOTA station? Any suggestions
helpful.

Thanks and 73,

Matt Burt
