I've confirmed Clare's observation that the IOTA makes a giant pop and white flash when energized. It's a bit startling, even when you are expecting it! I will talk to IOTA on Monday and get the repair process going. If it is out of warranty I will attempt to repair it myself or replace the unit. -Jim KB0THN
