Below is the announcement of the Technician Class Licensing Course being 
sponsored by the Winona Amateur Radio Club after the first of the year.  
If you know of someone who has been interested in obtaining their ham 
radio license, this is their opportunity!  Please feel free to pass on 
the information.

The Winona Amateur Radio Club is sponsoring a Technician Class licensing 
course to run from early January to mid-February 2009.  The course will 
be conducted Monday evenings from 6:00 to 9:00 PM beginning on January 
12 and ending on February 16.  A licensing test session is planned for 
February 23.  The course and license testing will be held at the 
Bluffview Montessori School, 1321 Gilmore Avenue Winona, MN.

The course will include a copy of the ARRL Ham Radio License Manual (1st 
Edition, 2006-2007) and other materials.  Cost for the course will be 
$24.95 for the License Manual to be paid at the first course session. In 
addition, the current cost for VE license testing is $14.00 to be paid 
at the time of the license exam.

Interested persons should register for the course no later than January 
2 in order to ensure availability of sufficient copies of the licensing
