[WARC] Interesting Numbers

Remember when WEPNET started there were two teams of NCS's. Ed W5TWR had
one team and I had the other. I think we had a total of 10 NCS's. One
team had the odd weeks and the other had the even.

Jeanne NØYRA did the training for the first few years then Sue KEØS did
training for a few tears. I think Walt had the longest tenure as
training coordinator.

Used to have upwards of 30 check-ins.

Two notes...in 1995 the WEPNET was started, and K0NY got his amateur
radio license (KB0SSJ)!

Maybe we ought to consider doing what organizations do when they want to

get something done--make somebody responsible. Who is responsible for
membership promotion right now? This seems to be a function not
addressed in the constitution or by-laws.

Then after we have people interested (and joining), they need to feel
welcome and we need to provide support which is value-added to them
(elmering and programming and other).

Also, the meetings need to be less tedious and more fun!

At least that's my opinion. We'll get there if we work together at it.
