[WARC] Interesting Numbers

Hi Jim,
Operating events--good point. Let's focus on Field Day this year. I
plan to do some heavy promotion as best as I can. We plan to do a GOTA
station as well as the ATV demo. Then there is the "regular" Field Day
activity--station operation, logging, problem-solving, and learning.
One opoerating event we have before Field Day is the club meeting next
week--operation of a QRP Heathkit station. I am looking forward to some
fun! And to learning from other club members how to
REALLY do CW.
With my whole four years as a licensed ham, I have enjoyed the June
meeting at Dick N0VV's cabin. The past two years, we have had a direct
conflict with the bicycle event support. Not this year....
The idea of soliciting non-members and past members why they don't see
club membership as a value-added activity is valid, for sure. It would
be good if we could organize an activity to collect and analyze the
appropriate data regarding this issue. It's in the hopper....
