Full details are in the other two (quite lengthy) notes but,
in brief,
Repeater transmits on 439.25 MHz for the video carrier (i.e.
438-444 MHz ATV "band") and
Repeater receives on 421.25 MHz for the video carrier
(i.e.420-426 MHz ATV "band").
This is backwards from what is done in many states but was
done for a reason.
This is what it is COORDINATED for but that does not mean
that it cannot have other
input/output frequencies ALSO in this or other bands but
they would not be coordinated, that is "protected" to some
extent. As long as they do not interfere with others' use
of those other frequencies they could be used. We could
easily add other receive frequencies at the receive site and
just use a controller that prioritizes them there or else
use multiple link frequencies, one for each receive
frequency and prioritize or even select remotely which to
repeat. Commercial controllers often have 3-4 inputs and
you could select by DTMF via the ATV audio channel, by a
second audio channel on the link (they have two), or via the
2 m. repeater input as is in the same shack. First just
want to get what was coordinated up and running by the end
of the year then add the bells and whistles. It IS HARD TO
RESIST putting out a 903. MHz output though when you have a
spare low power 903. ATV transmitter and a spare 10.mW
in/25. W. out linear amp sitting around!
