[WARC] Good Job on Weekend On Wheels - 2009

Thanks to all the area hams who assisted with Weekend On Wheels 2009 
communications support this week end.  We received many compliments from 
the Twin City Bicycling Club, the sponsor of this regional event, 
regarding our good support.

Our services helped with the usual breakdowns and need for support.  We 
also had an urgent medical issue about 15 minutes into the event on 
Friday afternoon.  Mike N8MD and Jim N9MFI handled the incident in a 
VERY expedient and professional manner.  The ambulance showed up within 
12 minutes of the call for aid.  They headed for Winona Health with the 
person in distress about 11 minutes after that.  GREAT JOB!

Special thanks to those who helped operate the station, provided the 
support, and provided equipment for help:  Jim N9MFI, Mike N8MD, Les 
KC0BAD, Dan WK0W, Clare K0NY, Steve KD0BOD, David KD0GTO, Lance KB0YJU, 
and Jim KB0THN.  Also assisting were hams/bikers Laurie KC0PZM and Rob 
KC0PZL from Stillwater.
