The December program of the Winona Amateur Radio Club will include a
presentation by Jim Jarvis, KB0THN, regarding his experience powering
his home “off the power grid” this year. This should be a very
interesting program considering the current emphasis on energy sources
and may suggest some interesting applications for amateur radio.

The December session is also the annual business meeting of the club and
will include review of 2009 activities (see the website Wiki), election
of officers and directors, and planning for 2010 programs. There will be
plenty of opportunities for socializing at the session.

The program will be held Thursday, December 17, at the Winona County
Courthouse Annex, 220 West Third Street at 7:00 PM. All licensed amateur
radio operators and other interested persons are encouraged to attend.

Remember that the club is hosting a Technician Class licensing course
and VE testing session after the first of the year. Details are on the
club website: www.w0ne.org <http://www.w0ne.org> .

Len KC0RSX
