It was an amazing VHF contest last weekend, in
terms of creating new activity out of both the La Crosse
area and the Milwaukee area.

Back to the weekly routine now, and we'll have a net
tonight, starting at 7pm, if it will bring out the La Crosse
guys/gals. This also applies to the whole SW WI and far
SE MN region. The regular net where I look for everyone
else will still start at 7:30pm.

If you're in La Crosse area, SW WI, W Cent WI or the
Winona area, and you'd be available from 7-7:30 tonight,
please let me know. Regular email would be fine, or you
can do it here. Not sure how tolerant this list is of chit-chat.

Reason for the potential early start is that I just couldn't
work enough of you in the contest, and I'm hoping that
tonight, my beams turn freely and that propagation might
be a little bit better. If possible, I'd also enjoy having
enough time to perhaps talk with each of you for a bit.

If I don't hear from anyone, I'll assume the regular 7:30
start is better, and I'll look toward La Crosse about 7:45 or
so, per usual.

I always pass this info along to the La Crosse group.
I've also started notifying a group on Yahoo called
MadisonAmateurRadio. We'll see if we can keep getting
new hams on VHF/UHF.

My ultimate goal is to have self-sufficient VHF/UHF
pods or activity centers in various areas all across the
compass.

   73,
