Now that the dust has settled on Field Day 2009, preparation is picking
up on the Great River Shakespeare Festival special event station
scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, July 18 & 19. The club again has
reserved the special event call sign N2B for the station.

The location this year will be the Winona Knitting Mills picnic pavilion
on the northwest corner of their property (best access is via Front
Street). This is a large, well-maintained, clean pavilion with plenty
of picnic tables under cover and 120 volt power supply. Operating hours
will be from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM local time both days.

The rig, power supply, antenna, log sheets, and other items are coming
together satisfactorily at this stage. What we need now is operators.

If you can help with set-up or operating, please let me know what times
you can help. Here is the general schedule. I am suggesting two-hour
shifts for operators, but you can operate more if you like.

Friday, July 17.
Time TBD. - Set up the club G5RV antenna.

Saturday, July 18:
9:30-10:00 AM - Set up balance of station - feedline, antenna tuner,
power supply, rig, logsheets, etc.
10 AM-12 noon - operators needed
12-2 - operators needed
2-4 - operators needed
4:00 - 4:30 - Partial tear down for the night (leave antenna up).

Sunday, July 19:

10 AM-12 noon - operators needed
12-2 - operators needed
2-4 - operators needed
4:00-4:30 - Tear down.

As mentioned above, PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHEN YOU CAN OPERATE OR ASSIST
WITH SET-UP/TEAR-DOWN.

Thanks,
Len KC0RSX
