The date is this coming Sunday, June 14.

The critical needs pertain to providing support in dead cell phone spots 
along East Burns Valley Road.  There may also be some assistance needed 
as cyclists come down Gilmore Valley Road due to the high speeds and 
accident risks during that stretch of the course.

A base station will be needed somewhere near their HQ--probably near the 
band shell.  Les is going to figure it out once he has an idea of how 
many hams are available.

At the last minute, we have been asked by the organizers of the Trinona 
Triathlon to provide communications support along portions of the bicycle 
route. The bicycle portion of the event will begin around 7:30 and should be 
completed by noon.  I have volunteered to take on this project and must 
first determine how much support we can provide before I design our support 
strategy.

If you are willing to help for all or part of the time frame specified 
above, please email me with your call sign and any time constraints on your 
offer.  As during SKYWARN events, please also let me know what kind of 
mobile two-meter FM equipment you have.

I will need this information by Wednesday at noon.
